Why have we been set up

Nationally and locally, over recent times, there have been increasing demands on care services resulting in some companies finding it difficult to continue.

This has often affected some of the Plymouth’s most vulnerable and their families, leaving them facing worrying uncertainty while alternative services are put in place.

Plymouth Care is not for profit and will mean that high quality care services can continue to be provided at short notice.

Pressure in the social care sector is having a direct impact on the health service with people having to stay in hospital longer than necessary where social care cannot be provided.
